This program can provide or facilitate access to comprehensive prenatal care and follow-up for the mother and infant for up to one year post delivery. Health, psychosocial, and nutritional assessments are provided through efforts between public health and private providers. Clients have access to a health professional team, including registered nurses and breastfeeding educators on site with other professionals available within the area. This service provides reimbursement of mileage to out of town pregnancy related appointments; provides extensive education on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, care of infants, and much more; and can provide prenatal vitamins to pregnant women.
